Welcome to Wickiup Cabins where adventure or relaxation can go hand in hand. With 20 modernized rustic cabins located on our property, our cabins have all the amenities of home. Stocked with towels, linens and even cookware for the kitchen, each cabin also has a full bathroom. We have what you are looking for. Perhaps, a wedding destination, family reunion, small company retreat or a destination for relaxing while enjoying our mountain streams and quiet peaceful settings under our 80 foot spruce trees.

It is here you can also come for hunting, ATV riding, rock climbing above and below us, mountain biking, fishing, riding the Mickelson Trail, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse or historic Lead Deadwood to name some of our Black Hills offerings.

We are the destination without the cost of a ticket for every ride you have while with us.

We are located central to the Northern Black Hills at the top of Spearfish Canyon 10 minutes west of Lead Deadwood on Highway 85. Wickiup has the monopoly on Spearfish Creek. Long gone are the cabin camps that once provided memories for children to older folks never to be forgotten. Warm summer days of tubing, fishing, panning for those gold flakes or just skipping rocks.

We absolutely loved this place! The staff is super cool and helpful and the place is very rustic cozy. We regrettably didn't spend much time hanging out during the day as we were busy sightseeing, but the crisp nights with open windows were the bomb. We even got a free wildlife show with some little critters out back of our cabin.

The lack of cell service was annoying at first, but by the time we left, it was really kind of a welcomed inconvenience to put the phone away and just enjoy your surroundings.

I have stayed here 3 times now. This vacation my car broken down in Keystone and I wasn’t able to check out in time. I called them and no one had reserved the cabin for the next day and they said not to worry about anything! They even asked us to stay another night! Les, Jackie and the crew are amazing! We will be back again….oh and the new turkey is a great addition 🤣

My husband and I stayed here for a week in October, right before they were getting ready to close up for the winter. We were very happy with our cabin (we stayed at the Stage Stop). The bed was comfy and the location was exceptional, very close to the UTV trails. It had most of the amenities we needed and the staff was wonderful and friendly. My only complaint would be that it was pretty cold in the mornings and the water didn't get very hot, so the showers were an adventure (to say the least). But otherwise it was perfect for us. We will be going back again someday!

Enjoyed The Log Hut cabin. It is right by the creek and close to the office. Everyone was so friendly and kind. They are a extremely dog friendly place!! Les and Jackie told us about the area. Connie and Dale seemed just like family and Randy and Betty were just as kind. Thank you ALL for our wonderful stay at our warm and cozy cabin. Definitely recommend

We stayed here for 4 days 3 nights and it was absolutely amazing! There was 4 adults and 4 kids and the cabin was perfect! We didn't feel like we were cramped or stepping over each other. The cabin was very clean upon arrival and check in was easy. The staff is very friendly and always there if you needed anything. The creek, playground, fire pit and the lounging area were all AMAZING! My kids fished the Creek every day for several hours in between all of our activities. They were going to float it but the water was pretty cold for the time we were there. We sat around the camp fire with other guest and had a great time while all the kids played. I would highly recommend this place for any getaway. You won't regret it! We will definitely be back!
