Super fun! Be prepared to drive 13 miles of gravel/dirt road to get there. We hauled in our rzr and had a blast, waited to late in the day and we were the only people for miles.
I'd never been to the Sand Dunes before so it was a bit of a surprise to find when we were out on a rockhounding trip! Lovely area all around and great for agate if you look around the roads on top!
Fun place, lots of space for everyone even on a busy weekend!
Update: I thought I'd add if you've never rode at any set of dunes before, no matter what your riding, be aware that the dunes will end in a cliff out of nowhere.. I crushed my kneecap after I got too cocky my first time years ago. Take it slow your first trip until you learn the terrain. Have fun!
This was a fun area to ride with the family. Lots of sand though so be prepared for that. We were riding motorcycles so the same can get to be a bit much without paddle tires and such. It was beautiful out here. Moab is very diverse with great vistas valleys and alternating terrain. It can go from challenging too easy in one ride. 👍🤜!!🏍️!!🤛👍
Just wow! From the views to the trails it has something for everyone! The sand dunes are so much fun and beautiful. Just be prepared for a lot of people and of course sand! I love the open trails and the dispersed camping areas great for large groups and lots of fun! There is a spot that has a swing for the kids in between the trees In The shade. It’s great for the day or a week! I had cell service in areas but who needs that when you are in the cool sand
