Located on the Thornapple River in the heart of Michigan’s Barry County, Whispering Waters Campground is ideally situated and easy to reach from the metropolitan areas of Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing and Battle Creek. Offering a quaint lifestyle that is cherished but so often missing from the contemporary American landscape, the town of Hastings has been identified as # 68 on the list of the best small towns in America in author Norman Crampton’s book “The 100 Best Small Towns in America”. We like to think that Whispering Waters Campground, in turn, offers its guests some of the best in Hastings, Barry County, and the state of Michigan. By definition, this is “Pure Michigan” at its finest!
For the 2016 camping season, Whispering Waters Campground is changing its focus to concentrate on seasonal camping. Although a limited number of monthly and weekly campsites will be maintained on a space-available basis, we really want to do everything possible to meet the needs of our seasonal guests. Seasonal campers demonstrate a true commitment to their chosen RV park, and we are committed to dedicating our efforts to the the interests of those seasonal guests. We offer the nicest and cleanest facilities in the area, the most highly dedicated staff, a true family-like atmosphere, and campers who take tremendous pride in both the park and their individual campsites. We believe that this defines the best in family camping, and we invite you to stop in to personally experience what we offer. We think that after touring our facility, talking with our current campers and meeting with us, you will want to join that special camaraderie that you will discover at Whispering Waters.

CLEAN & FRIENDLY!!!
-Stayed 2 nights and was very impressed! Owners treat guests like family - very available and accommodating. The long term/ frequenting guests are super nice as well, filling you in about upcoming events and attractions. The sites are very safe, clean and pleasant. Bathroom facilities are cleaned daily and are exceptionally fresh.
We love this campground so much, we decided this will be our second home!!! Can't wait to move up there next season!!! Small campground on the Thornapple river. Lots of activities, very friendly!!!
My family and I have been staying at Whispering Waters on and off for about 20 years. Roger, Uta , George and the rest of the staff were always very helpful and accommodating!!!! They are predominantly seasonal, but I have called at last minute multiple times for a quick weekend getaways with my kids and they have squeezed us in!!!! My wife and I consider them family!!! This campground will always be our first choice!!!
We stayed for the weekend and enjoyed the wine tasting . The staff is extremely courteous and the facilities are the cleanest of any campground we have ever stayed in . This is a tight knit community of seasonal campers that are very friendly and more then willing to help out a newbie camper owner the ropes. A special Thank You to Rodger and George for your hospitality to my family . If your looking for a peaceful getaway this is it , mostly older people and very quiet . The camp store is very well stocked and the pool is absolutely wonderful .. I feel this is the nicest, cleanest and by far the best run campground we have ever stayed in . Thank you for having us !
I have never camp hear but has still wanted to put my 2 sense in. Any camp ground that does not welcome dog breeds such has Pit bulls, Rottweilers, wolf mixes, I believe are not good people. Y'all allow those ankle biter ray looking dogs. Those are the ones the do nothing but bark at anyone. And they park aggressively. You should be a shamed of ur self. I deliver PKG and the only dogs that scare me are little ones.
