We've stayed at WhalesHead beach resort many times. But this is specifically about one cabin we rented for the 4th of July.

It is OV-11. It says it takes pets. But it's not pet friendly. There is no place to relieve your pet. You have to walk up or down the steep drive to get to a spot by a small pond. And the cabin itself is in need of some major updates. Mold in the bathroom, and there were hardly any silverware or even decent cooking pans. The coffee maker was bit old for my taste. The hot tub was ok. Could have been cleaner. And it has a ladder for the loft and the loft area had not been vacuumed. And there is no door for the main bedroom. It was just a curtain. There is a queen bed in the main bedroom, a queen in the loft and a queen pull out sofa bed. And there is no ocean view from the deck. It's all overgrown with trees. There was a little storage shed off of the deck that had a broken window and was overgrown with vines. Kind of creepy. There is no yard whatsoever. Just a deck on one side of the cabin and back where the hot tub is. This was the worst cabin we've stayed in so far at Whaleshead. And we've stayed in at least six different ones. Needless to say. I will never reserve OV-11 again.

Wish I could afford to live here... it was clean, the corner lot was big, private trash cans, laundry room & showers close by. Full time RV is $676. a month, electricity, propane, cable &/or internet NOT included in rent.

We have been coming here for years but will never be back again.

We booked 1 year in advance and the day we were to arrive they notified us that our hot tub was broke and moved us to another cabin that was so horrible and TINY! Then wanted to charge us even more. Thank God our guests canceled cause there was not an inch of space. Be advised that the price on the internet is not even close to what you will be charged and most cabins are the same price so chose one that sleeps 6 or more.

I wasn't aware they made that change and we paid $1,000 for 3 days in a tiny dirty DUMP! Hot tub water was green with sludge in it, shower curtain was held on by 5 hooks and the shower head was broke and hardly any water came out. Complained with no fixes. Toilet it flush right, bedspread had stains on it.

I could go on but I won't. JUST RENT A HOUSE you will be better off

Whaleshead was sold and is now managed by Vacasa. Customer service is non existent. The furnace failed and there was no heat for the bedrooms and bathrooms. The only heat was the heat pump in the living room, a long way from the hall and bedrooms in this large cabin.

I've been coming to Whaleshead for over 15 years and had some good times there. That's all over. Now you can't book your cabin online or get the on premises maintenance man to fix the heater or hot tub or hot water heater. There is no staff on site. Good luck if you book here.
