KOA should be ashamed of this place. Sketchy and rundown. Mostly permanent residents with old trailers and junk. Most likely some drug dealing going on with cars and people coming and going from a certain trailer all night. I left after a few hours as did not feel like I or my stuff would be safe car camping. Do not book.
Unimproved tent sites without tables or BBQ. Next to a ditch with water. Since mosquitos everywhere. Wifi extremely poor and only available some yards around the office. They lost our online reservation. The office closes at 4pm and stays closed on sundays. The restrooms are ancient and not properly cleaned.
So this campground needs a new management and a lot of improvements or they have to be removed from the KOA franchise.
Worst KOA I have ever stayed at. We got in at dark and I actually strapped a 9mm to my side before going to hookup my motorhome. The potholes are horrible. The full time campers there make it look like a getto and the sites are not maintained. I can't believe I even stayed. KOA should be ashamed of this. I'd give it negative 2 stars but that isn't a option. It also looks like a RV junk storage yard all around.
Dog park flooded. Had some not working water issues. The long stay area looks like it needs some cleaning attention. It needs some attention.
Definitely just a pull in over night spot .. no get away camping experience. Most of the spots in the park are long term residents. They have 11 spots up front for passing thru .. very narrow/close together. The spots in the ends are the best one's if you stay here. We were in 1 and at least had some privacy, a tree and some grass for our dogs. You'll hear road noise. Otherwise the lady in the office was friendly and bathrooms were clean.
