Tree phones Campground is a dry camping area but is only 8 miles from the top of darland mountain there's at least 20 flat campsites most have fire pit rings. The area is set up for horseback camping as well as full size RVs even 30 ft long. There is no potable water and the Gravel Road can get rough at times for larger vehicles. Altitude is around 4000 feet so it does get cold at night even in the summer. There is a high volume of traffic near the road and the road can be very dusty so it's best to park further into the back there are at least two his and hers bathrooms and they're kept pretty clean. Campsites are gravelled and flat there are pine trees throughout the area but there also is a lot of area that gets sunlight. Come late summer no campfires are allowed and this is a UTV friendly area but the UTV are close to the area as of December 1st to 15th timeline the area opens up again 1st of May for UTV riding there's also winter snowmobile riding and they do groom the area. One of the best areas for snowmobiling would be at the top of darling Mountain and one of the best areas to ride a UTV is to go over darling mountain and then continue on to the Blue Lake 4 X4 Trail it will take you right up to a small Lake and if you have some courage go to the backside of the link and up the hill side and that will take you to Blue slide Lookout it has a small winter cabin with wood stove. I think that's about all I can come up with for the tree phones Campground hope you like the review.

Very remote / small campground. But beautiful all the same way up in the ahtanum State Forest. there are multiple other campgrounds in the same vicinity that are all free and there was multiple hiking horseback riding and ATV trails. Great for a free Backcountry adventure

Great place never super crowded! We use it to go have a campfire for the evening then drive home. It's just far enough away that you are in the forest and mountains but still close enough to feel local.
