Boat launch and parking located along south shore of lake. Picnic area skirts the lake shore with tables and fire pits.
From Naches, WA take Highway 12 W for 4.4 miles and continue on Highway 410 W for 27.9 miles to milepost 88 area. Turn left on Bumping River Road / Forest Road 1800 and follow for 11.2 miles. Campground / Picnic Area entrance is on right. Picnic area is at end of road near lake.
Beautiful area. Due to Covid the bathrooms are locked so everyone is using the woods near by. Sadly people are not burying their waste, so there is lots of toilet paper laying out on the forest floor. Also, the garbage dumpsters were overflowing. Folks need to pack their trash out since camp maintenance has stopped.
Great place . Please stay home and just view from pictures so i can enjoy when i go thanks
This spot was really pretty but so very crowded on the weekend! We stayed in the nearby campground so we were able to park at the boat launch for free, but if you’re not camping I believe it’s $8 per day to park there. The woman that sits at the entrance in a lawn chair and collects the day use fee was very rude to us and made our whole experience there very unpleasant. They need to put in a proper gate so that people can stop and pay their fees, rather than have this awful woman accost every vehicle that comes her way. She was obviously miserable working out in the sun all day, but that doesn’t give her a right to treat people so poorly. I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for her!
Great picnic lake spot! Beautiful views, usually a minimal crowd, and pretty quiet. Plenty of parking. Rocky terrain so have some good water sandals. This is a great spot to kayak and paddle board or splash around on the shore. **Be mindful, bathrooms are closed right now due to COVID-19.**
Beautiful day to just sit and relax. The water was warm, and the beer was cold. Even saw 4 doe deer. Great day.
