This forested drive to campground is nicely tucked in the 25 Mile Creek Drainage away from the busy town of Chelan but close to the Lake and recreational activities. There are seven single tent sites and two small group / RV sites, all of which have fire rings and tables. A group shelter containing four picnic tables may be accessed via barrier-free trails from both double campsites, but the group shelter is available to all campers on a first come basis.
From Chelan, travel south on Highway 97A for 3 miles. Turn right onto Southshore Road and go approximately 20 miles to Shady Pass Road #5900. Turn left up the Shady Pass Road #5900, go 3 miles to Slide Ridge Road #8410. Take a left onto the Slide Ridge Road #8410 and travel ¾ mile to Snowberry Bowl Campground.
Unless you have a reason to be out here can’t say you should go. Just a few steep campsites. Nowhere near the creek as far as access goes. You can walk down a cliff to it I guess. My headline, “it’s a campground”.
Great secluded campsite. Water access and toilets. Probably not the best spot if you are in a small car, as the terrain is rough getting there. Beautiful view of the stars and great hiking for the experienced hiker. There is a $10/night fee.
Awesome campground! Went early Friday morning memorial day weekend and was able to get a spot before it filled up. Would come back!
We have camped here several times. First come, first serve and great $$ per night. There is no internet or phone service, which is great to make the kids interact with us. Bathrooms aren't too bad, always stocked with toilet paper. Nice and quiet. Thank you, Ranger Melissa, for your assistance and help 2 weekends ago!!!
