This is an amazing campground if you like to rough it, but still want a restroom (compost toilets, no water) close by! It's just enough wilderness for us, it's a ways off the beaten path to find & appears to be closed late fall/winter due to snowfall...the campsites are spacious and there is a creek nearby... lots of trails and a large loop to walk around... 20 min to Leavenworth for supplies... one of our new family favorites!!

Rating this as a rustic campground. The sites along the Chiwawa River were very scenic.

Pretty good camp ground. The camp host was super nice. Pit toilets are what you expect, and the well water was kinda brown. Dusty, dirt roads so be prepared. But the sites are well spaced and the ones on the lower loop looked super fun, right on the creek. It's pretty out of the way, so we found a spot when the last 8(!) campsites we stopped at were full.

Had a ton of fun just camping with the kids. Showed up on monday and stayed for the week. Campground was mostly empty the entire time. Although it is dirt bike friendly. We hardly saw any. Met some friends from home and they loved it as well. Only problems were no campfires, and no fishing. Due to the high heat and to the fact that it was so dry. Will most likely be back again.

Solid place to camp at! We camped 9/27/19 to 9/29/19. We only had one other person pull in after us the first night and the were going the next day. Having a campground to yourself is so worth the price of admission. Camped in spot 5D with our 27 ft travel trailer. It is a double site but most are down by the river so it cost about double to stay each night but the spot is the best one in my opinion. It's a dirt bike friendly campground which we didn't have the bikes with us and the noise and smell of two stroke oil didn't bother us one bit. We'll have the bring the bikes next time! The trails in and around the campground are in great shape, for dirt bikes or running, got a nice trailing run session in. There's an upper campground as you enter the park and a lower one down by the river which is where we stayed. Both are great spots but we prefer being by the river. You can spend plenty of time walking or in my case running the roads and trails exploring mother nature. The old mining town of Trinity is about a 2.5 hr drive North of the campground. Nothing really to see once you get there because it's private property but the driver was worth it to scoop out the 12 campground that are on the way up to Trinity.
