Go here. Its remote, beautiful, and the view goes on forever.
You need a good vehicle to get here, but I must say, the views are worth it!
Drove up from chumstick hwy. This isn't the easiest route up. Last 5 miles were sketch in my F350 due to the narrow trails. October colors were beautiful. Views at the top on a clear day are epic.
Super dry and windy on July 4th weekend, but very quiet. Our group camped overnight on the mountain top and only saw a few other people motorbiking during the day. The sunset and the starry night sky were spectacular. Bug spray is a necessary must. Dress warm as it was crazily windy one night, we thought one tent was going to get blown away.
Drove up here on Oct 21 from the WABDR section 4 route from Cashmere. Beautiful view along the route and at the top of Chumstick, it's surprisingly quiet for a beautiful Saturday, just a couple of bikers here but not many vehicles. Need high clearance vehicle as there is some small section with deep ruts, but otherwise trail in good condition, easy drive up.
