A beautiful little Camp Zone off of tiger Highway (hwy20) on Tacoma Creek Road.
Close to little Pend Oreille Lake
One of our favorite places to camp! Beautiful, quiet and secluded. The whole area is a great place to hike and Jeep.
Nice little park, didn't get to see much as it was snowed in, but we were able to hike up tacoma creek rd and enjoy the wildlife and woods. There is also a small creek
Great free campground right off the highway! Our boys loved playing in the creek. The fire rings, picnic tables, and pit-toilets were clean and well-maintained, and the sites were nicely spaced out. The water at the pump was rust-colored and it's not labeled as drinkable, but if you have a filter or just use it as wash water it works. There were a TON of bugs and mosquitoes, but they might be seasonal, since it's been a very wet June.
While this campground doesn't offer showers, it has the essentials- water, toilets, and fire rings, plus picnic tables and space. It's a great site except for the ATVs that were racing around the area (but not in the campground) late at night and early in the morning. I was there on a Friday night, which explains why that traffic was so heavy.
