Great campground in a wonderful location. You do need a boat to get to the island, so I recommend packing lightly. The campsites were well spread out, so we enjoyed a reasonable amount of privacy and quiet while being just steps from the shore.

As far as accomodations: each site has a picnic table and fire place. The camp ranger provides cut and seasoned firewood at each site, for a small fee of $7 each day. Each site is within a few hundred feet of an outhouse but there are no shower facilities. The campground has potable water available at two locations on the island. There are carts that can be used to help bring gear (or full water jugs) to your site.

Truly breathtaking! We anchored for an overnight stay which happened to be during the most recent meteor shower. Don't miss an opportunity to explore this little slice of heaven for an overnight adventure. We are headed back to moor overnight again and will be booking a camp site so we can kayak to shore to enjoy campfires in the evening. I would rate this is experience as a must have adventure!

11 campsites spread over 70 acres along with boat only access makes for quiet camping. Potable water and clean pit toilets. No showers but you can always dip in the ocean :). Hauling your gear from the dock is a little work but they have garden carts to assist. During season there is a friendly ranger (Byron) stationed on the island who is able to provide firewood. If you have a bit of gear your best bet is to take the ferry to Islesboro and hire Quicksilver Taxi. If packing light you can just Kayak from the ferry terminal on Islesboro. Overall, this is an excellent quiet oceanfront camping spot.

Fantastic experience camping at Warren Island! The remoteness, the views, and the sunsets were incredible (check out site 6!). The staff were so friendly, hospitable, and helpful. Looking forward to coming back!

Nice place to get out of the windy bay and go for a walk. Friendly staff, comfortable paths and nicely manicured campsites.
