Located halfway between Bangor ME and Saint John NB Canada.
We were hoping to stay here for the weekend but as it turns out this is a seasonal only campground. They should take their sign down on the main road. I'm probably not the first person that's driven all the way in there to find out they only want seasonal clients.
Probably the worst campground I've stayed at. I was motorcycle camping and stayed here. This is not a place for tent camping. I was stuck between two campers. The facilities were up to date, but were not cared for.
There was no soap in the men's bathroom the entire time I was there. None of the hand dryers worked, and it was incredibly expensive to just camp for one night at $35
Campground was rather neglected and rustic. Not one of our faborites. But the people we met we're great folks. Some have permanent set ups. Since we are totally self-contained and sufficient the amenities didn't matter since it was only for one night. Would stay there again in a pinch. Bill and Linda Lane, Montpelier, Va
I’m giving this a 5-star review, if only for the experience we had with every person we met there…(and we only needed to stay one night, prior to crossing into Canada the following day!)
We are car campers, and prefer a more woodsy, secluded camping environment, however, the friendliness and kind generosity of those regular patrons really made our night great - we got a first class tour of the premises, including the nearby outdoor art/sculpture park, and all the families of campers who offered us great conversation, stories, and samples of barbecue!
Thanks to Charlene, Claudette, and friends for adding some fun to our vacation!
