Don't walk away - RUN! As someone else said, dealing with the owners is like being in an abusive relationship. Mike will steal supplies from under your trailer and use them to set up other trailers, then charge them for the supplies he stole from you. Nancy thinks she is running a boot camp, running around shining her flashlight in your eyes and warning you that quiet time is coming. There is a reason this is the only place in Southern Maine that does not have a waiting list. The drama these two cause is worse than high school. If you are a transient, find another place to park. If you are a seasonal, get on another park's waiting list. The inconvenience of option B will be much less hassle then dealing with these two. If you think you will be different and take the risk, don't say you haven't been warned.
Very clean, nice flowers everywhere, walking distance to the beach, and all the other campers were very nice! Couple of downsides ... spots are VERY VERY VERY close, so if you have anything over 32ft, it'll be a pain to get in to any of the sites. I'd estimate 95% of the sites are perms, nothing wrong with that but the best sites are locked down. The speed limit of 3mph is strictly enforced, again nothing wrong with that except its not achievable unless you ride your brakes the entire time. Don't try to come with extra cars or a big tow vehicle cause there just isn't room. Extra costs for visitors (as per usual) but we got accused of having visitors that didn't sign in. When we said no one came, the owner said they saw a car follow us in. No fires at your site but with everyone so close and no real area at your site to have one, it'd be dangerous anyway. There's a community fire pit in the back corner. Wifi was sketchy. If you plan to spend most of your time out of the campground, then this place is good to park your rig.
It's expensive there are is no showrooms, and there is no laundry there are full hook ups, the host only communicated once by phone when we made reservations and when we pulled in he help navigate us into our spot gave us the wifi password, told us no driving over 3mph for any reason and that was pretty much it. Very clean very very quiet even during the day. All in all it was alright.
Great location and site was great but I booked a 50 amp site and when i got there only a 30 was available. No big deal but then they charged me an additional $30 for checking in 30 minutes early. I texted Nancy about it but no response. One and done for us… money hungry no doubt…
