About Campground

Little Fort is a minimally developed recreation area located near the meadow that was once a rest stop for a stagecoach line. Enjoy the thrill of riding the largest OHV complex in the state of Virginia with easy access right from the campground. Singe hot dogs on the grill while singing songs or sharing stories around an open camp fire.

Small campground with direct access to ATV trails. Tent camping on small sites with fire rings and picnic tables.

Great spot! Quiet

Pretty clean

Nice set up

Site 7 tiny b&w feral kitten maybe 2 months old with Grey Mum

Couldn't catch either, heartbroken as it's middle of nowhere and woke in the middle of the night to see kitten huddled on top of fire pit rocks trying to stay warm.....hoping a good Samaritan will either continue to feed them or catch and find a home 😪

I would prefer that the campsites be set apart a little bit more. There was a group of middle aged men blasting music and drinking beer that didn't align with my hopes of a quiet weekend away from the city.

Only two camper spots. No other spots are level. Was creeped out and left not for a single lady. Also the two camper spots looked like they are there full time

Very primitive campground right off the Peters Mill Run trail. We just loved it though. Secluded and perfect for a tent and a fire. There is a pad for the tent, a fire pit and a picnic table.
