About Campground

This campground is located on the far side of the river from Highway 39. The entrance is the same as Upper Meadows, but instead of turning left, stay on the road, cross the bridge and turn to the right at the top of the hill. This campground is one of the most spacious with the individual sites quite far apart. The grass is usually tall and thick. This campground has firewood available to purchase from the on-site Campground Host. Popular local recreation activities include fishing, hiking, swimming and tubing down the South Fork Ogden River (a life jacket is required for all tubers). Causey Reservoir, a scenic mountain lake, is four miles east.

Directions

From Ogden, UT, take State Rt. 39 east 18.2 miles to campground sign. Turn right at sign and go 0.5 miles to the lower section of campground.

We loved this place. The closer you are to the river the more you will hear the traffic during the day. ( that was no big deal to us) The vaulted bathrooms were always clean. We had the perfect spot with lots of shade. The Host Glenn & his wife are awesome hosts and great people!

Loved this campground. Sites were far apart and very large. Bathrooms were very clean and didn't smell. We stayed at number 4, the double lot. We easily fit 4 tents and there was room for at least 3 more.

Perfect campground close but not too close to town. This is one of my favorite camp grounds with lots of room and right next to the river.

As far as cleanliness its above average the couple who take care of this campground make sure all who use it fallow rules to keep the place clean and in great shape for all who camp here so everyone can have a great experience and the bathrooms were so clean and smelled great no stink at all the river was not far from the camp site, there is a lot of wildlife around and trails to walk or hike. We had a great time.

Every thing was great; clean, great river for kids to tube or swim in, friendly camp host, close to cities. Lost one star for por access to information about camp ground, por mapping including no printed brochures and a little noisy from main road close by.
