Such a beautiful campground. The camp host was so nice and was super friendly. Sites are decently sized and bathrooms were remarkably clean. I plan on going back up as many times as I can this summer.

Not 5 starts because the first come first serve camp sites are on the smaller side. (That's where we stayed). Group sites further in we're much bigger but without access to the stream. The fcfs area is just enough room for a tent between two parking spaces. We spent the whole time in the stream so it didn't matter much, but you will be close to all the other campers if you are there on the weekend.

This is a great campground with a stream following through year-round and some beautiful sites next to the water. Nice tree coverage, although more deciduous and not many pine trees. Balsam Campground, farther up the canyon has more pines if that is what you are looking for. But the canyon is beautiful no matter what your preference. Fall colors are great mid-September to October depending on the year. Only downside is noise from traffic on the main road up the canyon, which is just across the stream.

Very open and active campground. Each campsite is separated enough to have privacy and enjoy a quick getaway. There were quiet hours after 11, but the group I was with was very loud long past then, and we never had an issue. It is also generally empty and quiet overall.

Pros: firepits provided with seating

Multiple camp sites

Monitored

Parking spots

Somewhat close to nearby trailheads

Don't need an off-road vehicle to access

Cons: Can be hard to find

Has quiet hours if you want to be loud late into the night
