From jct Hwy 76 & Hwy 9: Go 15 mi N on Hwy 76, then 1/4 mi W on gravel road (just before Upper Iowa Bridge).
We have been permanent campers at Upper Iowa Resort for several years and love it! The resort is clean, pet friendly (dogs are on leash), and offers many opportunities to get away and experience the outdoors in a variety of ways. We enjoy the canoeing/kayaking with shuttles, as well as the large pond-like pool onsite. The sites are spacious in between sites and restrooms are clean. Best of all, Colton and Tessa are very friendly hosts that are hands-on as they live on the grounds.
We have a permanent spot here. We keep going back because it is a beautiful and right on the river. The owners are very friendly. The park is always clean, bathrooms are always clean, dog friendly, and has its own beach. We love to kayak. It’s convenient as they will take you to the drop off and you end at the campground. I always look forward to camping season! It’s everything we want in a campground.
We’ve been seasonal campers for 2 years going on 3 years now. Everything about this campground is top notch from the effort the owners put into their business to the magnificent location of the beautiful Upper Iowa River valley. They keep the playgrounds neat and tidy and the restrooms are cleaned as they should be. The activities they coordinate during the camping season such as the Labor Day trick or treat weekend make it that much more special. Definitely 5 stars. Whether you’re a weekend camper or looking for a full season site check them out.
Camped there last summer for a wk. One of the nicest campgrounds!! Beautiful scenery & loved the man made pond!! Was so relaxing! Owners are great peeps! Stay here if u get a chance❤️
We have stayed at the Upper Iowa every summer since I was a kid! The owners are kind and accommodating. The campground is beautiful. The pool and the river are inviting on warm sunny days. It's one of our favorite places to camp!
