We were just passing through NY on our way home and needed a place that worked for travel time. The campground was clean and has a pool. The bathrooms were clean but a dated. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing. A craft fair, cornhole tournament, food truck and what looked like a family reunion or Birthday party all going on. Saturday evening had live music and it was great! The campground seems to be 80% local seasonal sites. No sewer hook ups, but a decent easy to use dump station. The sites are pretty tight together, with a handful being “buddy” sites which are great when your with your buddy, but a bit awkward when it’s not. In our 2 nights here we had 2 different neighbors that pulled in late in the evening and gone by 8 am they were both friendly so it wasn’t too bad. The staff was friendly and helpful. This campground is fine for a quick overnight or 2 but wouldn’t be a destination for more than that. Also be sure to follow the signs for the KOA not the GPS when coming off the highway. The campground is actually pretty close to the exit, but you need to take the long way (4-5 miles) around to get there due to a super sharp/steep turn that even a small trailer wouldn’t make. The last KOA we stayed at had a similar roadway hazard and sent out a text message about route to take to the campground on the morning of our check in which was a nice touch and would be something for this campground to consider. Again good for a quick stop, but wouldn’t go for an extended stay.

Clean and friendly, very accommodating and attentive to your needs. Follow the KOA signs if you are towing or driving an RV. They will get you there. Your GPS will get you close, but follow the signs for final approach.

We had a great time at this campground! The owners are accommodating and super friendly. The grounds are well kept and the facilities clean. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it so we could catch the craft show, live music and food vendors on the large front lawn of the campground on a perfect summer day. We certainly plan to return.

Follow the KOA signs and not GPS when exiting 88.
