The term campground is an exaggeration....this is a mobile park with a few spots for visiting rv travelers.
I have stayed at many campgrounds and was excited to stay at pine crest. The website was nice and detailed and my family was excited to use the pool, sit by the campfire and enjoy nature. The camp sign was gorgeous but the road entering it was filled with pot holes making it dodgy to take your rv. The campground is mainly permanent or seasonal people which is fine however abandoned vehicles, tractors and even trailers littered the area. While the pool was supposed to be open based on posted hours, it was closed. At a normal campground, you are often given a camp map, told where garbage goes etc. Aka there is some sort of welcoming. None of this occured so we explored the area and then was told by a resident to stop walking towards one direction because the owners dogs will bark and get angry. Again this place is more like a mobile home. Needless to say we left the next morning....a day early.
Excellent family owned campground. Great fishing and boat acess on the susquehanna River! If your looking at a place to visit you can't go wrong here. Loved it so much parked there seasonally.
We camp here seasonally! Sue and Jim are great people!! We LOVE Pincrest it's our home away from home !
Great place! Owner is great very helpful and all around great guy. Even escorted us to our site and helped us back in. Will definitely return! Thanks Jim!
Pine Crest RV park was a very nice, quaint little park. We stayed for a week and was very pleased with the park and the friendliness of everyone there. The owner met us as we pulled in so we did not have to drive all the way back to the office, which is in the middle of the park. He escorted us right to our spot and made sure we had everything to hook up with, we needed a splitter to hook up to the sewage system, and the owner went and took care of that for us. There was Ice available 24/7 at the office in a chest freezer out front, just open the freezer and leave the money for the ice in the jar inside.
Every day as the owner was taking the trash from the drop off area the the big dumpsters at the entrance to the park he would ask if we needed anything and asked if our stay was going well.
The road into the park is gravel and did have a few potholes but it wasn’t too bad. There are a lot of rv’s that are there set up for full time seasonal but for the most part they were well kept.
The pool was well kept and very clean.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit there again.
