This is a quaint little state park south of Albany. Easy check in. There are no water or sewer connections but there is stable power. We filled up our water tank at the dump station upon entering the park. (There is a separate clean water source at the dump station area). There are also several water points along the narrow roadways inside the park. We got a pull through which was shady and spacious for our tow vehicle and trailer. The bathhouse was very clean with hot water in the showers. The shower stalls are spacious with locks on the doors. Shopping and restaurants are close by. I will definitely stay here again. Our Visible phone hotspot service (Verizon) had two bars and we were able to use our streaming services. Our other phone use AT&T towers and data was very slow. (one bar). The park sells firewood for $6.00 a bundle which is a good deal compared to other places we've been in NY.
Park is beautiful and full of wildlife. Everything from birds, rabbits, snapping turtles and black bear. Amazing, well groomed trails to hike, bike or horseback on. Campsites are ample size and relatively private. Very well maintained, and restrooms/shower houses are immaculate. Very friendly staff. Love this place.
We had a wonderful weekend here. We loved being able to ride our bikes all over the park, fishing and kayaking. Sites are clean and well kept for RVs. The playground is very nice. My daughter loved the mini zip line.
