Incredible (and completely underrated) campground! We stayed at 5 different places during our Lake Michigan Circle Tour and this one was perfection! The sites are wonderfully tucked in among the trees but allowed plenty of space for our conversion van/side-tent combination. There’s so much to offer for the kids- clean and warm pool, adorable outdoor theater, lots of things to climb on, and our kids LOVED the karaoke nights (especially our daughter)! The bathrooms were really clean, the store had nearly everything a camper could need, and the staff was kind and fun!
We go to Onaway for Dog Trials and stay at Twin Bears usually twice a year. I cannot say enough good things about this campground. The sites are a good size and private enough. The grounds, bathroom and laundry facilities are clean, and the staff is accommodatingly wonderful. Close to restaurants, gas, and convenience stores. Anyone looking for a campground in Northern Michigan should stop here, you will not be disappointed. The dog competitions take us all over the US, and this is one of my favorites places to stay by far!!! Keep up the great work, see you next year. Site #70 this past weekend :)
We haven’t even camped there yet, but my conversations with owner Jen sealed the deal. We are coming as a large family with grandchildren and Jen was a wonderful 1st impression. She talked to me on phone (which she didn’t have to do) while she was grocery shopping😄then when she wanted to check on everything once she got to computer, she returned phone call immediately. Jen is kind, knowledgeable and very helpful. Thank you Jen we will see you in August!

and our family!
My family and I had our camper at Twin Bears from Aug1-Oct15 and travelled back and forth between my home and the campground. If I ever needed something checked on or forgot something, all it took was quick phone call and the staff was on it. The campground is very focused on making sure its guests have a great experience. Especially recommend to families looking for entertainment for younger kids. Close to the Marinas in Indian River and far enough out to feel secluded. See you next year!
