Overall, this campground is nice. It's right on the river, has a launch for boating, has direct access to miles of trails and is in a central location to many attractions. Bathrooms were also kept clean. However, we will not be returning. We always go camping with a small group and to make it easier for booking and so we can all get sites next to one another, I booked our entire 3 site reservation under my name. The owner was very nice and very accommodating with our group during booking. My boyfriend and I usually like to stay an extra night just to have a little peace and quiet before going home as most of our group members have small kids and we don't. But despite knowing most of our group would be leaving after 2 nights, I kept the entire 3 sites booked for a 3rd night just so our group didnt have to check out by 11am and so we didnt have to rearrange our site if we had overflowed onto one of the adjoining lots. However, later in the evening on Sunday a couple young kids were on one of the lots I had rented for a 3rd night setting up a tent. When I asked the gentleman at the front desk to be refunded my reservation amount for that night (since he had clearly rented it to new campers) he was very rude with me and exclaimed "That's not how this works! Part of your group left early." I tried to explain to him that they didnt actually leave early and, regardless, the site was under MY name and I was still camping there. He continued the argue and eventually threw some money on the counter and said, "Here! Just take your money!" He was unprofessional and rude and ruined the last night of our vacation. Him renting that site also caused us to have to rearrange our lot that night as we needed to use the lot he rented to back onto to move our small trailer off, which is exactly what we didnt want to have to do before leaving the next morning.
The host was great and helped us with some unexpected car trouble. The campground was right on the rail to trails network. Clean and quiet. A nice game/rec room for rainy days.
