Four miles East of Rose City, across from the Rifle River State Park.
Right across from Rifle River Recreation area. Nice clean campground. I'll be back for sure!
Living quite a ways from the larger towns surrounding the area, this was one of my favorite businesses to visit & pick up essentials. I'm not sure what happened, but this is not the warmhearted and community oriented business that it once was. I've been coming here from time to time to do laundry because it's the closest option for our household. I've noticed a colder shift in attitude over the past months, but today was the worst so far.
Attendents were unhelpful and noticeably irritated from the start. We went in to the store to get some change so that we could use their coin machine, and they initially refused which is strange considering all of the money was coming right back to the store.
It was around 6pm when they told us "make sure you're out by 9". I'm not sure why they assumed we I wouldn't be finished by then, or felt the need to remind me of the hours that are clearly posted when I hadn't asked. One of the machines went down for a different customer, and when she told the attendents they responded "it's probably because of all the laundry you've been doing". Which again was pretty rude. Also was a strange thing to say, considering that is quite literally the only purpose of the facility.
Today was my first day off in a week and I just needed to get some chores done. Overall just felt really unwelcome and probably won't be coming back. It's really sad to see a place that was a pillar of the community treating customers like this.
Stopped in to get a few energy drinks and use the laundromat. I needed quarters and they don't have a machine in the laundromat so I got them from the store when getting the drinks.
The interaction the Mother and Daughter had with each other on getting the quarters wasn't professional in a public setting.... being snooty/yelling at each other because they weren't out and were needed. You just don't do that in front of your customers. Makes you look bad....
But what do I know. I'm just a backwoods hillbilly living in small town USA.
Side note, the other employees are friendly.
