Beautiful resort and awesome staff! Friendliest place I've ever been. Can't wait to go back! Love, love, love it!
Love Wilderness. Grew up in this campground, but the staff shortage has left it lacking a lot of the services that they used to offer. Staff that are there are very helpful and accommodating.
I can’t even give one star. Outdoor Adventure (both in Sterling MI area) has deteriorated over the years. The camping lots are never groomed from one camper to another. Twigs and debri all over the lots. The ancient old nasty grills, that NO ONE uses…they bring their own, are nasty gross. They need to be taken out. The campfire pits are horrible and tiny. There is no decent grass. The lots are all dirt. When it rains…it’s ALL mud. The tedious 5 mile an hour speed…omg. My car idles faster than that. They warn you and accuse you of speeding if you’re going 6-7 god forbid. Let’s use our breaks thru the whole park. The surrounding parks are 10 mph. Which is reasonable. Then the stalking staff who harasses constantly by trolling slow and staring at you instead of minding the park. NOT ONE lot is groomed in there. It’s a dump. The hot tub is Broke, heat, no jets and with a 2 inch scum around perimeter. The TV in the adult lounge don’t work, washer out of order, kids running rampant turning in water spikits on all the lots. Where is staff??? Riding around in pairs playing on their phones or chit chatting. Not one personal cleaning, grooming, or even dressed presentable. Last year the store manager lived in a tent with husband and baby with beer cans everywhere in the campground. Real good image there!!! The staff is seriously rude. We are worth more than what Outdoor Adventure offers in our membership. They’ve become so run down. We packed up after 2days of our 3 week reservation and went to a high class campground. Paid the much worth lot rent to be clean, comfortable, and treated like adults. I can’t camp where they treat you like criminals and act like they are your babysitter. We are adults. Leave us alone. The petty ignorant rules, like it’s a daycare. Outdoor Adventure stalk you like you’re doing wrong. Move on folks… there are way better camping than at Outdoor Adventure. Read their fine print…”we are subject to change the rules and regulations at any time”. AND THEY DO!! They love to control you. Bye bye. We will NEVER come back. We found a beautiful place on the rifle river. And it’s NOT Outdoor Adventure!!!
Very quiet, nicely forested with big oak trees. Has some full hook ups most just have water and power. Nice pool and hot tub. Has a camp store but not much there really. Has a playground with new equipment and a Pavillion where they have crafts and evening movies. For our family camping event it was very nice.
