My girl and i stayed here this past weekend. We drove alway from detroit. We loved it, it was very peaceful, clean, and staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back again before the summer is over.
Bed Bugs! Immediately went for refund and we were very rudely denied. There is blood all over the blankets and mattresses. We informed the neighboring cabin, showed them the pics and found out that the owner had just walked over to offer them our cabin since we were leaving. Just filthy and wrong. Hope this helps someone.
I love this little getaway. I’ve stayed at the campground five times over the years. Do NOT let the check in office deter you- it’s appearance is run down and unkept.
The campgrounds however, they’re great! Clean, week-kept, pristine portojohns close to every site. The owners are sweet as pie and will make your stay enjoyable and comfy. Ask and you shall receive- they’re down to earth and great people!
Not going to lie, looks are deceiving. At first I was unsure if I was even in the right place. But after getting here, getting set up and talking to the owners I am very happy. Its a mom and pop shop. But they will give you the shirt off their back to accommodate you! I would recommended giving this place a chance before judging and that why I recommended this place to anyone reading this. Also town is 2mins away which is helpful. You would never know when you're in the campground as it seems very back in the woods but its a nice place to camp!
All around 5 stars for North Star Resort & campground. The beautiful lady who owns and runs these cabins is very friendly and always greets my family with a smile! Her cabins are the perfect size equipped with a bathroom, beds, a tv, a very useful kitchen and of course a bonfire pit right outside for anyone to use!
