About Campground

Saginaw Bay Resort was the first in the Outdoor Adventures family and it remains the favorite of many of our guests. Located on the beautiful Sunrise Side in Standish, the resort offers the peace and beauty you'd expect in northern Michigan.

There is fun around every corner when you visit Saginaw Bay Resort! On Lil' Sag Bay Lake, you can swim, fish, paddleboat, or kayak. On the beach, you can work on your tan or show off your sand sculpting skills. Maybe the game room, indoor and outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, horseshoe pits, putt-putt course, or basketball courts are more your style. If you want to venture into the local community, you can try your hand fishing on the nearby Saginaw Bay or try your luck at Saganing Eagles Landing Casino.

Come visit Outdoor Adventures' flagship property. You'll be glad you did!

Horrible experience here. I booked a stay for 3 weeks and not one time did the girl who took my reservation tell me you have to be here everyday for the three weeks besides one 24 hour period. We had to go home for a few days and the park decided to damage my property by putting a sign on my camper that stained and will not come off saying we needed to contact security or they’d put our camper in storage and we’d have to pay to remove it. Would not recommend to anyone. This pink stain is from the sign they put on my camper. No phone call or email to let me know either.

We were given a lot that was very unlevel and blocking kept sinking into the dirt. Lott 144 is awful!! Had to get a jack out to jack up the trailer to put levelers under the tires. Tried blocks and everything just sank in. Lot needs to be regraded and more gravel installed.

No rules are enforced with head banging music heard from across the campground as late as midnight. Dogs off leash and 4 cars plus trailer and tents on one campsite along with obnoxious guests.

Well folks, as has been my experience with ALL O.D.A., our firepit had all sorts of unsafe items in it, wires, zip ties, other plastics, cigarette butts, and yet again I called them to plz come and clean it out.

Why should this be a continuous problem?

Yes, it's left by the inconsiderate ppl who had the space before us, and yes, there needs to be some kind of system in place to identify, and charge these ppl for trashing the sites, but none the less...we pay fees to ensure a clean, working, extra nice resort for the prices we pay!

The pit was not all that was dirty and a safety hazard to not only our dogs, us who cook over our fires, but our KIDS & GRANDKIDS, there were half buried beer cans, more zip ties, and metallic stars all over from Memorial weekend (was what I was told) that if gotten by our 20 month old grandson, he could have choked on!

I picked every button, beer can, metallic star, plastic pieces, and paper out of our site... literally every piece that wasn't natural to earth.

Ppl need to be more responsible and leave the sites better than they found them, but ultimately, ODA is responsible to ensure they do everything they can while sites are empty, or not in use to clean them!!

We pay exuberant costs and fees to what was, a members only resort, and we not only expect but demand that ODA make their resorts, a safe, clean, and family friendly environment like what we all signed up for!!

Activities need to include toddlers also!

This actually goes out to the ODA owner, but the resort managers, not just a warning to our public about what they are really paying for before they sign a contract with ODA.

Now, this past week, they opened a very nice, new store, so I had a chance to meet the manager.

He was not friendly or considerate towards me, even when I complimented the nice store, yet was very nice to others that I suppose were regulars there. Guess ppl that are visiting his place he manages just don't matter as much..SHAME ON YOU!

His maintenance staff was very nice and did all they could do to quickly clean out our firepit, which I really appreciated.

Store staff were clean and nice, as was all security.

One thing I found was that most of the regulars (who are mainly senior citizens) were so kind! All waving to our grandson when they'd go past in golf carts and saying hi to us all.

In my opinion, this park is old but seems to be working on the resort to clean it up and make it a really nice resort. The activities need tweeking to include toddlers time, but they all need to do that.

The pools both inside and out were clean, and the outside hot tub was clean also but over limit with teens and kids, forcing me to leave as I went into the hot tub for chronic pain relief.

We may try this resort again, I haven't written them off yet, so I leave it up to you folks.

This was a very long and opinionated comment from me, but I wanted to let everyone know what we experienced.

The cabins were very nice. Found out it's a better deal to stay a week versus a weekend(2days). Indoor pool closes in October for the season.

We were there during September/Halloween weekend. It was soooo crowded and smokey from camp fires, but, alot of fun!
