**Precautions**:
Please note that this is a working ranch, as well as our home, school, and businesses. We may be out when you arrive. Feel free to walk around and see the animals. We do have 6 working dogs that will probably greet you before we do. They are friendly and will "go home" when told to. Their names are Dixie, Ringo, Brandy, Riptide….and the puppies are Willow and Saban.
There are insects, goats heads, and snakes present. Hard as we try, the ground erodes when it rains and is not always level. We recommend leashing your pets as we don't have an enclosed dog area built yet…. coming spring 2023!
The wind can blow a lot out here.
Please don't feed the animals, as they have special diets (and we don't want anyone to be bitten). Be diligent in hand washing after handling any of the animals. Keep a close eye on kiddos aged five and under.
You may hear gunfire as the coyotes are bad for all of the ranchers out here. If you are interested in brushing up your skills we do have a range on site with an additional dedicated archery range.
Babies are born usually in bad weather at night, and we may be assisting them with headlights on in the field. It is not our intention to disturb our guests, and we try to be as respectful as possible to you and your sleep. The roosters however, we cannot control their morning songs.

Take the first entrance, by the big green barn. Park perpendicular to the north fence, across the lot from "The Outpost" store.
I ordered beef cheeks on nov 17th. The picture on Amazon vs what I received was not even close. It's disappointing because I really did want to do business with your company.
Great overnight camping spot. This is a working ranch with a great store. We scored some Angus steaks and a dozen fresh eggs. Easy in and out via a very large gravel parking area. Peaceful, beautiful flowers and fields. Owners were very welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.
Highly recommended -- 10/10. Absolutely loved staying overnight here. Not only is there ample level parking, easy turnaround for RVs that are towing, and a delightfully cozy country store but Michelle and Paul, the owners, were genuinely kind and sincerely friendly. We limped into the ranch on a bad tire. They both greeted us and helped us figure out the tire issue, made sure we parked in a spot that the tire service tech could easily work in, and asked if there was anything else they could do to help. My husband and I felt really cared for. The ranch itself is surrounded by lots of sky and peaceful pasture, and in the distance you can see the mountains. I really enjoyed my stay here as well as meeting the owners. It was perfect with regard to room for an RV that is towing as well as delightful from the standpoint of guests. We will definitely be back.
In reference to Gilles Frenette comment, I would add that the very rough steak was paid 24,99 each. I tried to recap the left over with a vinegar marinade and it did not make a difference.
However the ground beef was good.
5Stars plus plus++!!! 1st thank so much for the most excellent camp spot, booking with Harvest Host!! Willow is a great Hostess, our dog Leroy has a new Colorado girlfriend! Your story is amazing, heart felt and inspiring. Paul was so informative on your whole operation, we toured all the farm areas. Your shop and meat products were just outstanding, Paul made perfect recommendations for our camp meal and our 4th of July steaks To Go! Watching at least 4 storm fronts sweep through the western plains was an out of the body experience, something you and your family get to witness daily. We will return soon!
