Great moderate hike with spectacular views. Great place to see wildlife and not too many people. The trail is well maintained and well marked. The parking is plentiful. There is a restroom at the trail head. The ascent is moderate but the excellent maintenance of the trail makes it easier. The view at the top makes this hike well worth it! Bring all your friends along to the top makes this hike purely enjoyable!

Pretty sweet place to relax..

The best beaches on Horsetooth, some sick trails to bike & hike, plus a little bike park and a beautiful place to connect with nature and water at the Reservoir.

If you haven't been there yet, and you live here, you are missing out on one of the best features of Fort Collins.

We wanted to have a picnic and do a super short hike and the Waterfall Trail (.1 mile!!) was perfect. Beautiful too! The waterfall isn't really a waterfall at this time of year but it was a trickle 😊. The colors were beautiful!

Lory State Park in Northern Colorado is a great place to take someone new to Colorado for lots of accessible hikes and different types of trails.

There are a few coves to hike to and there is also the venerable Arthurs Rock Trail.

If you are looking for a good spot to take photos, Lory State park has rocky hillsides, valley meadows, water features and tons of plant and wildlife.

Good for all seasons, Lory State Park is great for getting away from the town without having to travel to far.

Beautiful place with varying topography of (smallish) climbs with wide open fields of golden grass adjacent to red rock areas filled with a wide variety of plant material including succulents. There are over 20 miles to hike or bike with prominent vistas to all sides for many great photo opportunities. The few picnic areas are located amongst all of these spots and are well managed. There are Mountain View’s to the north and a short climb up Arthur’s Rock will give you stunning views of the sweeping grasslands and the massive Horsetooth Reservoir. You can kill an entire day easily here and see something different each hour. A can’t miss park for me when visiting Colorado.
