Very nice Motel. Clean, Pet friendly,.First time staying they still had the swimming pool which is now replaced with awesome landscaping. Visitors be respectful when you take your pooch out to do its business. Plenty of large grassy areas along Hwy…do not take them to the center courtyard. Would be a good idea to make advance reservations as it appears the fill up early.

The owners were very gracious and friendly.

Having said all that😂. Got to have my morning coffee medium to strong. It was a tad on the weak side…very minor issue. Will always stay on trips back to Co from Mn.

This place was above and beyond expectations. You could tell the building was well taken care of and the woman at the desk was beyond helpful and sweet. Even the housekeeper was smiling. She made us feel so welcome. If I ever go back to Valentine, I’ll be staying here for sure.

Nice, clean and affordable little motel! Easy stop with pups. Will return knowing it's a motel. Breakfast was underwhelming but to be expected for a quick overnight stay.

Pulled into the Trade Winds motel after full day of driving, after being on road for over 2 weeks, this was the best night sleep we had. Lady at front desk was extremely helpful and welcoming. The room and the grounds were clean and very well kept. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I travel a lot and prefer vintage motels. Sadly, many of them are becoming run-down due to lack of maintenance, usually by an outside investor/absentee owner. This is not the case with The Trade Winds. It's in impeccable condition, an old-school beauty. The rooms, grounds, and lobby are all beautiful. They also have an above average continental breakfast. Nice work!
