Always muddy water. Turbid lake. Great for watersports & boating. Horrible for fishing! Carp overtook the lake years ago and not enough predator fish so the carp have taken the lake over. Water clarity ranges from 1 inch to 10 inches max in very early spring. Other fish species I have personally caught include largemouth bass, bullhead, channel catfish, bluegill, & black crappie.
Great place to camp or have a picnic. Various larger shelters are available for family gatherings. Outdoor chapel for weddings and easter morning service. Beach is located on the north side of the lake as well as the electric camping spots. Great views and great local people! Humboldt offers a grocery store, dollar store, and gas filling stations. And a few ma and pa shops!
I lived here for a minute. Beautiful and quite. I wil always love ❤ this place.
Its a good place to camp just make sure you are near coverage. The only reson its not a 5 is wayyyyyyy to manny bugs
Nice day for a drive the camp ground looks great ready for campers nice and clean restrooms are clean and ther are plenty of them
Beautiful spot if you wanna come and relax while the kids play. Along with boating activities it's not bad. Now for the negative side... The fire pits r in some real rough shape, I advise you to bring a shovel so you can... A: dig out ur pit of all the trash and B: Fill the holes in the outer rings with dirt. The fishing is not good but on the positive side.. The scenery is pretty amazing and so were the people all around 😀. I'd come again.
