We loved our stay here! The town is quaint and quiet. There is a walking/running/biking trail across the street that stretches for quite a distance. The campground is shaded well with big trees and we felt like we had enough room at our site to be comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
We spent the weekend at this beautiful campground, in a two bedroom cabin. Clean, comfortable and convenient to everything. We played in the river nearby, strolled the local park. The campground amenities were above average. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. I will be staying here again!
I remember coming to this campground (aka Little River) every summer when I was little with my family and wanted my kids to experience it as well. SO happy we did! Overall great experience. Staff very friendly, cabins are great, bathhouses very clean considering how old they are, and the campground still has little activities on the weekend, go bingo!! Ready to book our next weekend getaway. Great job KOA!
Our stay was excellent. Our site was #30 right near the entrance and office and playground, pool, laundry, showers and bathrooms … that’s a lot and I was worried but It was perfect. Peaceful with plenty of privacy. Store within sight just a short walk away. We had a very nice concrete patio with a porch swing and raised stone fire pit. Beautiful trees too and the whole site was bordered with a nice fence which gave it even more of a private feel. It’s a big space compared to most other sites. We Loved it. It is a Back in site with plenty of room for our 35ft motorhome and we rented a jeep gladiator that fit just fine. Best idea to have a car to get around and we used the app TURO to rent the jeep and have it dropped off right at our campsite it, worked out perfectly. Other nice sites were right on the river #100 and #121 very nice. Gravel drive in most of the campground so walking my little dog wasn’t great but there was a big patch of grass towards the river area and a lot of people had dogs. The little store was nice and had a little of everything. We drove all through the park and the foothills parkway which was a beautiful drive especially in October. We would definitely stay here again the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Hands down the best place to stay in Townsend very clean very quiet and peaceful and friendly staff. Bath house is clean and well kept ( only negative is it’s not heated during colder months) great water pressure! We will be staying here a lot more often! Thank you for such a relaxing stay!
