Great spot for camping close to the water. There is a boat ramp at the campsite for easy access to takeout/put in only a short walk away. Hot showers with 2 main showers and a handicap shower. A playground is also available for the kids. The fire pits have a campfire grate for cooking as well as a stand up grill for charcoal. Lots of shade covering the campsites so even on the hottest days it is comfortable. The sites are big enough for a small pull-behind camper as well. 10 minutes away from Benton, Reliance, or Etowah. Great family spot.

The chick at the check-in was really nice. Let us change one of our campsites on the fly.

The campsites are a little bit close together, but the bathrooms are clean and everything's well kept.

We didn't camp here because we were investigating the possibilities.

It's a primitive campground with no electricity or water. There are stationary BBQ grills and fire pits. I didn't notice picnic tables but there may have been some.

There is a pit toilet for the campers.

This campground is located in the proximity of the Hiwassee River. There are hiking areas nearby.

This campground is more suited for tents and small campers.

Very clean.

We love to go camping here with our 2 dogs. It's a beautiful area with great hikes and scenery. The restrooms and shower area are always clean. I love the fact the rangers(or whatever there names are) drive by multiple times day and at night to check on everyone's safety and that everyone is abiding by camp rules. Feeling safe is extremely important to us when we camp. They have wood you can by at check in building to burn like 7 or 8 bucks a bundle. And they serve fresh coffee in the morning if you cannot make your own or need a cup. There are many places to swim, kayak, walk and very importantly fish. Great fishing here. I like you are far enough away to camp and feel like you are away from everything but there are many stores close by to buy groceries or whatever you may need you forgot to bring while camping.. highly recommend.

Great primitive campground. Not too far away from stores or the nearest town, but yet still feel far enough away to be camping in nature. Sites are nice but vary in size and include a lantern post, fire ring and most have charcoal bbq grills. Some sites are smaller, some bigger. Some sites have better trees for hammocks than others. Bath house is convenient and kept clean.
