Roads are not big RV friendly, but it is a nice quiet place away from the freeway to (BD) overnight.

Gun shots all around me. There's a gun club so I expected shooting but the shooting is everywhere.

Alcohol and firearms yay! One target was set up facing right at the road. 9mm shell casings and beer cans. There's a day use only sign with no camping. Wouldn't bring a family out there. A guy walked up close to where I was parked and mumbled something in Mexican and rapid fired his pistol so I left.

Just trying to have a peaceful day with my dog.

Free camping is so hard to find but Torrance County Park has nailed it! There might not be any facilities, but it's a beautiful piece of land designed for the "off the beaten path" type of people. Not only can you find a spot without problem, it's free, accommodates big and small rigs, allows our furry friends and has the most gorgeous star gazing, far from lights!

I wish more counties offered places like this. You can even take your ATV's and enjoy riding the paths. Highly recommended for the adventure traveler or low key camper alike.

Plenty of space, pretty quiet for the most part. Can be rough going downhill past this spot as the road is rutted so just be careful if you are towing. Someone stopped by to let us know they are converting this into a day-use area, and camping is currently limited to 7 days, so looks like this will eventually become a non-camping location but for now it is ok. I would just keep an eye out for any updates if you plan on coming to camp
