Really long hike unless you're an avid hiker. The view was nice, but not worth it.
This place is breathtaking. We went in the early morning and felt we were the only humans around. Bald eagles flew overhead. Our boys skipped rocks and broke their own record due to the smoothness and shallowness of the water. This was definitely my favorite location in the Seward area.
Costs $5.00 to park at trailhead! Need to know this before driving out miles of gravel, unimproved roads! Last part of trail is a bit steep and roots down to river, but during Salmon run you can see lots of fated salmon from the bridge.
we did a late afternoon walk, it was absolutely gorgeous, and yes it costs $5 to park at trailhead
