Great location and very handy to groceries and Mexican Restaurant. Maybe need to add more RV sites where the tenting is. Very friendly and helpful park manager. Will recommend this park and will definitely be back.
This is a well run, small campsite on the edge of Tonasket. There are only 7 RV campsites around 25 bucks a night with weekly and monthly rates, with a few extra tent sites. We arrived late, as usual, in our 32' motorhome towing the Harley on a trailer, it was about 10:30 pm. The campsite manager Steve waited for us and his service was nothing less than stellar. Steve helped us as we unloaded the bike and guided us as we backed in. We had some kind of electrical challenge with our plug in and he assisted us until we got it repaired, even going to his home and back to retrieve a volt meter for us. We finally got settled in at about 11:30 pm and Steve said goodnight. Make sure you call ahead for reservations, they bookup quick in the summer months due to the fire fighters using the campgrounds during the fire season. There is a good grocery store across the street and a small farmers market every Thursdays. Save your appetite for the fresh tamales that they offer at the farmers market. Yummy. They also have fresh veg, honey, latino drinks and small batch preserves. We stay at this campsite everytime we go to Tonasket cause we have friends nearby and we like to ride in the mountains, no traffic, and visit the Cheesaw Tavern for a couple drinks and a nosh. Tonasket is a small town and everything closes down early. You may get lucky one day and see Jack Black walking around his home town :)
We love us some Jack Black! Aka, Nacho Libre.
This place is in pretty good shape, but appears to be going through some sort of transition. No management was here when we arrived. We just picked a site and set up. Talked with someone who was already here and they hadn’t seen a manger either. I’ll pay my net balance at the end. I fear for this park as it won’t take long for squatters to find it.
Nice park for a stop over, easy walk to town and restaurant across the street, porta potty on site. My only issue was that the water was locked, so we could only use electric and sewer. There is a coffee shop on the left side going into town that has delicious cinnamon rolls! I'd stop again, esp for the rolls!
Perfect for a quick overnight on the way to Canada. Full hookups for $30. Easy access. Dump station and water available for small fee if not spending the night.
