Loud all night and then the loud people who live there with their barking dogs, loud music and drunk yelling all night long have the audacity to complain when your dog barks a little. Owner very friendly while you’re paying, but rude as hell when it’s time to check out. Told us take our time getting out of there, then right at 11am told us our time was up. No one else there was just camping, they all live there. Junk everywhere. Beautiful campsite, but small. Overall bad experience. Stayed two nights and paid $170 for 4 people.
Went to rent a boat for half a day. The price was 20 for 3 hours. But they also add the day use fee of 10 even renting a boat. There was no anchor in the boat at all. Total for the rental was over 30. Definitely not worth it for 3 hours. And like other people have said the docks could use some major repairs. The "store" was run down looking and dirty. I've been to numerous "resorts" and this has definitely been the worse one I've ever been to. Save your money and try somewhere else
Nice place. I imagine sometimes it can get pretty busy but today it was fairly quiet. Docks to fish from and benches to sit on; boats to rent. The four stars is because the docks do seem to be in need of repair...(the cleaning area sinks at one corner if more than one person is standing on it and there are loose boards in several places...so watch your step!)
Overall a fun place. Will return.
Older property in a beutiful location but is very run down and the water is algae ridden with trash floating in it. Docks and planks have not been maintained and look dangerous.
I imagine it was once a small and beautiful fishing resort that's now run down. Beautiful location that is quiet and peaceful with friendly owner and residents. However, there are a couple empty non-functional trailers, a couple permanent residents in trailers, a couple empty seasonal trailers, and a couple empty trailer spots for overnight RVers. There is also a small rental house with a permanent resident. Bathrooms are run down. Dock is walkable but in need of major TLC. There's also some old canoes and pedal boats for rent and some broken resort type equipment laying around. Dock is used by friendly locals for fishing. I would not bring small children here due to equipment and dock safety concerns but we did enjoy a wonderful sunset and full hook up over night stay.
