I have been camping here since before it was improved and became a horse camp. I have camped here both with a horse and without. Amazing, well maintained trails. Bathrooms are always clean. Well and water pump for potable water (it's high in iron so tastes metallic and may turn pink when heated but is perfectly safe). Limited number of non-horse campsites, so come before the weekend starts if possible!

Overrun with foliage, can barley find or makeout the stalls. Let alone the camp site. Waist of tax payers money.

Serene & varied terrain. Clean & well organized camp. Would like to see additional trail markings.

There's a little boring hike ,without any viewpoints. There are places for horses, maybe this camp is more interesting people with horses.

I am the camp host at Reehers and I don't think there is a more beautiful place to camp in the Tillamook forest. There is access to the Nehalem river (headwaters, so it is more like a stream), hiking trails for the novice and the more experienced, camping with a hand pump for WATER, vault toilets, and fire rings. There are 7 sites for non-horse owners that are spacious and semi-private. There are 10 sites for horse owners that contain well built corrals and plenty of room for your living-quarters trailer. Both loops have one pull through site. Just beyond our camp is a large staging area for horses, bike riders, and hikers with 4 picnic areas and two fire rings. We also have a shelter for larger groups! Nothing beats spending time in the forests of the coastal mountains. It is peaceful here and everyone is always pleasantly surprised when they find our little haven in the woods. So, if you enjoy peaceful tranquility with enjoyment for the whole family - come on up! Note: this is a first-come, first serve campground but in general non-horse sites only fill up on the weekends. Horse camp almost always has availability. If driving here during the week, keep a watch for log trucks on the road. Remember to be curtious to you neighbor. We like to keep a happy, peaceful camp!
