About Campground

This is a pristine six-acre Nehalem Riverfront property about 45 minutes from Portland off Highway 26 and 25 miles from Seaside and Cannon Beach.

The campsite has a clear close-up view of the Nehalem River with Alder trees by the river and a grassy garden area. Apple and cherry trees on the property. The acreage near the river is flat and easy to access. The acreage at the top of the property is a lush forest to hike up, with a natural spring running alongside.

Fishing, canoeing, and hiking are just a few of the activities. Cougar Mountain and Saddleback Mountain are close-by.

There are two campsites on the property: 1) A site for a pull-in RV or trailer. 2) Rental of a 24' NoBo 2022 Camper.

Directions

Take Hwy 26 West towards Seaside. About 2 miles after the Elderberry Inn and Baker's Grocery, you'll see a sign for Henry Rierson Spruce Run on Lower Nehalem Road. Turn left on Lower Nehalem Road and follow that for about 3 miles. When you get to the 3 mile marker, look for a large turnout on the left and a sign for Sha Ne Mah Road. This road is an extreme right turn. Please use the turnout on the left to make your sharp right turn onto Sha Ne Mah Rd. Then turn left onto the bridge which takes you over the Nehalem River. Turn left at the end of the bridge. Follow that to our property (there's a little red house on the left about a mile up). Enter the property by the evergreen tree and the Hipcamp sign (not the driveway). Follow the road alongside the blackberry bushes, then the orange cones to your spot. There will be a picnic table, fire ring and two Adirondack chairs. Pull in or back in and enjoy the riverside view. Wifi access is Woolman1 and password is Jack@jack1

Awesome, awesome, awesome, and not just because I live here. We got amazing white sand beaches down by the bay. We have seals, eagles, whales, otters, more birds than you can shake a stick at. Fishing, crabbing, crawdads, clamming, berries, mushrooms, hunting. Beautiful swimming holes good kayaking, canoeing, and boating. Great people and good history.

Such a great river. I ran by a section of this river on my Hood2Coast run and it had amazing smells and was very fresh running by it. It was around 1:30AM and the night view was spectacular. I'm sure it's great to recreate in it during the day too!
