From the town of Tillamook: Go 23 mi E on Hwy 6, then N on North Fork Rd.
I grew up going here and it hasn't changed much, it's a really nice campground. There are different types of sites so you can kind of choose what your experience will be (some are more private, some are larger, some are walk-in). There are a few good swimming areas along the river, but it gets super crowded on hot weekends which is a bummer but is expected these days.
There's a trail that goes from the campground and follows the river downstream for a long time. It's a really nice trail that I've walked dozens of times and leads to bridges, more swimming areas, all sorts of nature. The trail is currently closed off at the C loop entrance, but there's a sign with a map showing a way to go around.
Only had one issue the last time I went which was that they don't sell firewood on certain days (wed-thu I think it was). Seems a little strange not to sell wood on Thursdays but I just drove down the road a mile to get some from the store which had better wood anyway.
What a beautiful park! Clean and spacious! I'd love to go camping here when it opens back up. My family and I had a good time!
Love this place , fits my 33' triple slide camper, only a handful of sites large enough for my camper, no hook ups, no cell signal, it's nice. I will try and share a 360° picture of our site..
I stayed here one night this past September while on a moto ride up the coast. This was a great campground with about a half mile of dirt road to get to it.
