Scappoose Bay Marine Park is a recreational area owned and operated by the Port of Columbia County. If you love fishing, boating, kayaking or just enjoying the outdoors, you’ll have a great time out at Scappoose Bay.
The marina offers a public boat launch with access to the Columbia River and a separate dock for launching kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards adjacent to miles of flatwater estuaries secluded from boat traffic.
First time at this marina, it was exciting to explore and have views of Mt. Saint Helens. Getting into the water was a little tricky with 20 kayaks tied up for a class in the dock. Apparently going out the same time as we were. :) The staff was helpful and assisted us by lifting our boats onto the dock which was really appreciated. I’ve heard that the best time to go is on April when the water is high. I’ll be back!
Love hitting Next Adventure here for a kayak outfit and some time in the water. Super nice staff. I took my mom out for her first time, and she did great. The water is nice and calm here.
Very nice . Great clean boat lunch. Lots of room to park your rig . Park and rv park on premises.
I often walk my dog on the trail and it's truly lovely. I recommend it. $3.00 gets you an all day parking permit.
Very nice boat launch with a separate launch for kayaks. During the summer time at high tide you can access most of the bay by kayak which allows you to see very cool waterways and wildlife. They even have a nature trail walking path that has benches and places to fish along the banks.
They have boat slips you can rent for storage of your boat on the water that makes it very nice and easy to get out on the water! This is my favorite boat launch by far in Columbia County, during the summer months & when salmon/sturgeon fishing is going m it gets really busy and parking can’t be limited so always good to get here early.
We also hold our annual river cleanup at this marina usually during later summer, the county & marina staff has made it easy for us to help care for the environment. If interested in help please feel free to comment.
