Rivers Edge RV Resort and Camping offers many outdoor fun activities as well as a quiet escape from your busy life. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the beautiful Northwest right on the Clatskanie River. Located right off of highway 30, 60 miles from Portland and a quick 30 miles to Astoria. Our brand new campground provides over 40 concrete level river front sites and more than 50 pull thru sites that can accommodate big rigs. This park has been built for the future offering over 50 sites that can power up the biggest of RV’s and at the same time also charge your EV’s with 50/50/30/20 amp power service. The WIFI was also a priority when developing Rivers Edge RV Resort and Camping. We have several strategically located access points through out the park that will allow for uninterrupted live streaming capabilities for multiple devices at each site.
My wife and I recently spent our vacation here and absolutely loved it. Seeing the security gate and exit was very nice. I also noticed a gravel lot for extra parking, nice if you’re having family and or friends stop by. Driving through the park was a breeze smooth all new asphalt with arrows pointing the correct way to go. With a big round about to turn any large rig around.
RV pads are great! All level concrete pads with full power hookup, water with lots of pressure and a full time sewer dump, it’s nice not having to go to a dump station.
We brought our dogs with us and having a dog park made it that much easier. One area for small dogs and one for big. The gazebos were cool I noticed they all had BBQ stands ready for any party. With nice gravel pathways leading to them. With one pathway leading to Fins, a local coffee shop no more than a 5 minute walk. I think we went there every morning
We were able to have a fire with fellow Campers at the community fire pits, it’s a little different then most campgrounds, but I thought it was nice to be able to get to know new people and meet your fellow campers. I was also impressed with the bathrooms and showers very very clean and large with a coded entry.
One of the best if not the best RV campground I’ve ever been to. We will most definitely be returning here soon.
Camped here this last weekend with a large group and it was perfect! The owners were so friendly and accommodating, making sure everything was in order for our group, they even escorted us to our site which was a super nice touch! It is a well laid out park, backing in to sites there was plenty of room. The power / water / sewer connection on our site was towards the front of our site which made things a little complicated for my trailer with my connections all towards the back of my trailer. However there was enough room for me to pull the trailer forward to make connections and still park the truck. The camp hosts even offered to let me use a 30 amp extension cord which was very kind. Bathrooms and showers were the nicest I’d ever seen in a campground, top notch- even had air conditioning in the bathroom! Direct access to the Clatskanie River for taking a swim or paddling the lazy river into town. The water rises and falls with the tide. It was nice being close to Clatskanie if you needed any groceries, fuel or anything else it’s all right there. We spent a couple days out on a beach on the edge of the Columbia River and it was perfect. Highly recommend this RV resort, we will be staying here again!
We recently stayed a week here and we will absolutely be back! Beautiful park with nice hosts, level spots, spectacular new restrooms and showers, codes for both, and it’s very very quiet! They have put in more fire pits as well as sell wood by the bundle. biggest plus for us ; fenced in dog play area with grass, and the fence is very secure. Tons of blackberry bushes near, perfect for picking at sunset this time of year! my only two complaints would be the tenant that lives near the back gazebo, he didn’t have a leash on his HUGE German Shepard, it came running right at my pups when we were walking the little river and they charge electricity to the card on file if you use over a certain amount a day, 65 a night is already a steep price. keep in mind though, they’re brand new. I recommend taking a little trip down to the riverfront beach to whom ever might be staying here in the warm season.
Don't tent camp here! The tent sites are right next to the very noisy highway, and more than 200 yards from the restrooms and showers. You can't park at your campsite. The few parking spots close to the tents were mostly occupied, even though there were only 2 tent sites occupied. Tent sites are uneven and full of thistles, and right next to the dumpster. There's no water tap for tenters unless there's an unoccupied RV pad.
If the river runs close to the tent sites, we never saw it. There's no "beach", just a muddy bank a 10 minute walk down a rough trail. I don't know how you'd launch a canoe or kayak there, and you certainly can't swim.
In short: ugly, noisy and uncomfortable.
We just stayed a night as we were passing through, but we were very satisfied with the easy access to the park, the level RV sites, good spacing between spots and the ultra clean bathrooms and showers. Richard met us at the gate and offered helpful information and Susan offered a hand when we were parking for hook ups. The park is quiet and well run. We'll stay here again and recommend for others.
