Take U.S. Highway 50 to Gunnison, Colorado - then take State Highway 135 North to Almont - turn right at Taylor Canyon Road (County Road 742) toward Taylor Reservoir. Three Rivers Resort is located immediately after crossing the Taylor River, 1/4 mile off State Highway 135.
Not happy at all with the rooms. My little cabin was almost 300 per night and I walked in and it was 85 degrees Fahrenheit (seriously). I called the front desk and they said there's no air conditioner but that it would cool off at night. It did cool off but was so hot I couldn't sleep till well after midnight.
Signed up for the Garlic Mikes float. The restaurant was outstanding. On the boat they put 8 full grown older adults on a raft that would comfortably seat 6 at the most. 4 would have been even better. We were so heavy the guide couldn't effectively navigate the river. We were very uncomfortable the entire trip.
Me and my partner went white water rafting today, and wow. What an amazing experience, our guide was Steve and he was one of the best I’ve ever had, everyone got wet and had a blast. Afterward, we ate at the restaurant and the food was incredible. I highly recommend this place
This adventure was a blast and skillfully done. Staff knew what they were doing and could answer questions if needed. The river ride was an adventure and we felt safe the whole time. And we were able to still get our photos after a year had passed! We would definitely do this again if we come this way and recommend to anyone. Very professional. Thank you!
