Simply be prepared if you rent a boat to be yelled at by the manager & threatened to be arrested after you followed their rules (for 2 days) with capacity on the boat. This happened to my step daughter from out of town. We are local people and EXTREMELY appalled by this situation. We are responsible people that will never rent or recommend renting from this marina again.

Extremely dissatisfied with marina and boat rental protocol. My husband pre reserved a boat with marina for 8 people and tubes 5 days prior to us going to marina.the boat we reserved a was rented out to someone else so we had to settle for a smaller boat and no tubes. We then tried to reserve for a week later same boat reservation for 8 people and tubes. When we arrived on Sunday for boat we were told the boat we were getting was only for 6 people. That we would not be getting what we had reserved spending close to $500 in 2 weekends . If staff is going to take reservations they need to tell folks all information up front especially since we specified needing boat for 8. I guess we will be boating elsewhere.

People are friendly place is clean but they charge you like 3% to use a credit card. I thought I flew back in time. Who does that anymore. Need to get with the present and yes I know 3% isn’t a lot but just eat the price your already making plenty on what you sell there anyway. The kayak rental is very cheap and a fair price. You can rent boats been on one rented pond toon it looked and ran good. Felt like an owned boat someone took really good care of. Seats not worn or anything.

It’s a very beautiful place. I lost my deceased husbands wedding ring and still can’t find it. If anyone sees it it says forever love with a couple hears on it. I would love to have it back. Contact me on Facebook if you find it

My family and I recently stayed at 1000 hills state park. The park manager was very friendly and informative. The bathrooms were clean and the campgrounds were clean. But my stay there with my family. Got very expensive, we, we're overun by several Raccoons they took our cooler full of meat was a 12 pack Cooler. also took a power in verter. They came write up in 2 camp? Was not afraid of human presence. For this reason we left a day early and may not go back a few seasons to see if this has been taken care of. Ive seen raccoons angry Befor chewed up my dog pretty good. As well as property... thank you for your time
