Spent several days camping at this State Park, and overall the experience was a positive one. To begin with, all their campsite locations were well maintained, and reasonably priced to use. Each site had a place to park a vehicle, a fire pit, and a place to set up one's area to rest in for the night. I ended up using one of the Basic Campsites, as I did not need to use any electricity that was offered at the other campsites, nor did I have a trailer or RV that I would need to set up at the 50amp campsites. At the basic campsite, I had access to a picnic table, a fire pit to cook my meals, as well as a wood mulch area to set up my tent, that provided a little cushion that simply camping on dirt ground does not provide. The main attraction for this Park seems to be its trails, as Wallace State Park had several to traverse. The trails seemed to be well maintained, save a few branches and a tree that had fallen at some point, and provided many excellent views, as well as opportunities to view the wildlife. While I could have taken two days to walk them all, I was able to use up an entire day to walk all the trails the park offered. While I did not stay long enough to partake in it, I was pleased to see that the park was still offering programs and events on a regular basis, and they had an entire section of the park dedicated to Scout Use, allowing this Park to offer a little something for everyone.

Great place to camp. The campsites are widely spaced so neighboring campers are hard to see, the sites are spacious with well made tent pads and parking areas, and the bathrooms are clean and have free showers. Also the camping fees are very reasonable.

Unusually good!

We have camped at Wallace State Park for many years. The staff and campground hosts are friendly and courteous. The walking trails are excellent and get you back in touch with nature. The shower house is kept clean. The campground does need more 50 amp campsites. They only have two 50 amp sites at the present. Full hookup sites would be nice as well as they do not have them.

Great place to go for a hike! Beautiful lake nestled in the hills. I can't wait to fish here!
