Last Sunday I had a heat stroke right before we got the pontoon we had rented. When we made it back to the Marena I was in the middle of a Full Fledge Heatstroke. I AM ABSOLUTELY SO THANKFUL AND IMPRESSED WITH EVERY PERSON/EMPLOYEES AND THE OWNER/MANAGER AT INDIAN CREEK .IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU QUICKLY RESPONDING AND GETTING ME ICE TO ICE ME DOWN. AND THANK YOU TOU THE EMS FROM MONROE COUNTY AMBULANCE. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST I WANT TO THANK THE FLIGHT CREW FOR THEIR CARE AND SAFE LIFT TO COLUMBIA MO.
I AM DEEPLY GRATEFUL TO EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH TAKING CARE OF AND YOUR ASSISTANCE.

I love how far apart the campsites are and that there are plenty of trees for privacy. The bathrooms are not so great but I have heard they are building new ones. The people at check in are not very friendly. Especially the older man. He acts like he hates his job and that we should not be camping there. lol. Every time I see him I dread it. The other helpers are very nice.
We were only sitting down for 5 minutes anf we had 4 deer walking only a few feet from us. They were beautiful. Now for the old man at the gate, he was not at all friendly. He was a dismissive jerk.Handed my husband a map only when asked and before he could ask where the site was he closed the window in his face. He is a nasty one that should stay out of public service. The park is lovely.
