perfect location and had everything we needed. the host is awesome. when we go back, we'll be staying there again.
First of all let me thank Gary and Tammy for the hospitality they made my wife and I stay very enjoyable they made us feel like family.The hunter lair is a really clean place the wildlife mounts are a really great touch for the country you are in.We plan on going back again and again.they are very knowledgeable about the country there is so much to see and the landscape is awesome.Thank you guys again.
The Hunter's Lair was home away from home! The owner's Gary and Tammy felt like family! They so sweetly greeted us with a gallon of milk, had cereal, coffee and water ready for us and we had great conversations together! Gary also spoiled us by taking us on his pontoon to the Blue Mesa where we fished! The beds, kitchen, bathroom, couches... everything was great!! We would definitely recommend the Hunter's Liar!
Very comfortable and plenty of space. Well stocked kitchen. Considerate added touches. Very clean. Much nicer than a standard hunting cabin, more like a small house with hunting decor and trophies. The hosts were spectacular! Extremely friendly and helpful, but never invasive.
On a long drive from California to West Elk wilderness. I pulled into Crawford exhausted from the long drive. Decided to stay with Gary and Tammy at Hunters Lair for the night ended up staying there the duration of my trip more than a week. Great place, clean, stocked kitchen, satellite TV and wifi. The Owners are great people, very hospitable. Was invited to join them for a few home cooked meals. Which was icing on the cake. Loved the Town and Locals. Met great people that made my trip. Will definitely be returning.
