Camp hosts are fabulous. Very welcoming and interested in ensuring you enjoy your stay. Stayed at site 13 which overlooks the river. The only negative was work was being done at the dam with heavy machinery. Hearing ‘beep-beep-beep’ while at a very off the beaten trail campsite was disappointing. Delightful to watch family of deer meandered through the camp each morning - along with huge raccoon paw prints all over my vehicle from the previous night! The stars look amazing. The overlook trail was a bit harder for me but I guess I’m out of shape. I’m not sorry I climbed up but lost the trail markers coming down.

Friendly camp hosts. Impeccably clean pit toilets. Great views. Riverside camp sites are the best (my opinion). I'm not a fisherman but there are many that camped there for what I'm guessing is a great opportunity. Unique sites nestled in rock outcroppings. Take the Overlook Trail (took me about 45 minutes) to get a view of 11 Mile Reservoir and a full look at the dam. There is a $7 fee to travel from the entrance of 11 Mile canyon to campground. Road is dirt with some rough spots, nothing really bad, but go slow and take advantage of the pull outs and take a look at the tremendous scenery along the river.

Eleven mile canyon is a great place to explore. The $7 fee keeps the dregs out but didn't see many in that area anyway. Hike fish or just take pictures. Wonderful place..fishing access is easy..a couple steps down from the road in some areas.

Great spot for the entire family. Kids got to recreate in clear, calm water while the folks that enjoy fishing hooked up a load of large fish. We took tubes to float and took advantage of the hike to the lookout. The campground was clean and we booked site 17 so we had our own personal access to the water. For family fishing keep in mind that this stretch of waters is restricted to artificial lures (no bait, i.e., eggs, worms, power bait) and no keeping fish. The winds do pick up in the middle of the day so stake your tents and canopies down, and consider even taking canopies down. It wasn't bothersome enough because we spent hours each day in the river. There was vault toilets, well water, and dumpsters but I didn't notice a camp or any wood for sale. Last chance to get that stuff would be at Lake George is my guess.
