About Campground

**What to Expect? ** ***"The Experience"***? It is just that. You can expect fine bed linen, a comfy electric heated blanket, scented candles, a spa-like ambiance, a heated wood-burning stove, various textures pleasing to the touch and eyes; and quiet with superb customer service.

***The 16' heated tent ***and the open communal area are where you'll spend the majority of your time either lying on the hammock with a throw next to the fire pit, sitting on the Adirondack chairs, playing corn hole, soaking in the hot tub, or staying inside listening to the rain while lying in bed and enjoying the sounds of the blue jays and crickets in a heated tent. There is a cute small refrigerator to store a few cans of soda or bottled water, a tea kettle to make your own coffee/tea/hot chocolate, a French press (coffee, creamer, and sugar provided) an electric double-burner to make a light breakfast, warm popcorn, etc. The Master Suite tent will include one Queen size bed covered with a Queen egg crate foam topper and may be draped in a well-fitted microfiber sheet set or 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, to make your sleeping experience like a fancy hotel in Times Square (you know the one with one letter).

**\- Queen-size electric blanket with dual remotes - Queen-size goose-down comforter - Burberry-style throws - Morrocan-inspired floor pillows - Leather chaise that contours to your body to lounge on - Electric heater on-site with fan and heat options - Wood-burning stove inside to heat tent (bring dried packaged firewood or purchase on-site) - Rugs on the floor - Outdoor shower water in the shower bag will be heated up prior to showering upon request (colder months) - 102 jet (2-4) person jacuzzi (enclosed deck)**

Be advised there is a camera in the courtyard/tent area overlooking the courtyard and a motion sensor for added security on the premises, and the train track is a few blocks away and you will hear it at some point during your stay (typically 2000-2200 hours) but it adds a rural country feel along with the crickets orchestrating the woodsy sound.

We visited Farmville for the weekend for our anniversary and Sandy River was amazing. The tipi was so cool and nice. It was something very unique and worth checking out. The distillery area was nice with the live music, food truck and amenities.

We were just here for the adventure park. An exceptional experience from start to finish. I loved the different courses for the many different types of individuals and ages. The three hours they give you is plenty of time. I was spent after i did only two of the courses, but my son hung in there for the full three hours and did every course they had just to say he did them all. The equipment was very well maintained and safe. The staff were all amazing and had lots of fun. If we didn't have the kids with us, we would have finished off at the distillery, but we will be back. We paid the summer discount rate, however if we had to pay the full rate we wouldn't have been disappointed.

I stayed here with my family over the weekend, it was incredible. We spent the most of the day hiking around high-bridge trail and sight seeing around historic FarmVille. When we weren’t out and about adventuring we were relaxing around the teepees and at the fantastic distillery just across the street. The next day we went zip-lining it was so much fun! I will definitely be back very soon!

We had a delightful stay at this charming cabin with our family and our small dog! The cozy space provided us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cabin's beautiful light and layout made us feel right at home. Its proximity to Longwood University was perfect for our visit with family. We also had a fantastic time at the nearby distillery, enjoying live music and delicious drinks. Our son particularly enjoyed interacting with the farm animals and collecting fresh eggs. We're already looking forward to returning for the summer activities. The only minor inconvenience was the spotty wifi, but truthfully, it was a welcome opportunity to disconnect and unwind for a while.
