The Couples Retreat

My husband and I went there in January . Left with nothing accomplished and we were there for 4 days. The male counselor told my husband one thing in private then told us something different in group sessions . Our issues weren't worked through , there was no legit feedback besides long pauses . No follow up until we emailed multiple times . Not worth the investment!

Very problem focused which is still slightly helpful for particular arguments but on a whole that’s not everything. We didn’t really go over the 300 question assessment, if that was important at all I don’t know, and we did not have personal meetings as offered online which I think would have been particularly helpful. Very prompt to respond to inquiries for help and getting you scheduled. The location was close to home for us and that was great for us.

Ron really helped my husband and I work through the issues that had built up over the last 10 years of marriage. He listened to our needs and really got to the bottom of our issues but managed to break up the intensity with quick wit and good humor. We will continue maintainence counseling from our home with him. Our marriage has been renewed and we are positive about our future.

My husband and I both were apprehensive going for different reasons. Lexi and Ron have a warm inviting office and personalities. They work very well as a team. I had little hope going in, and have lots of hope coming home. We will continue counseling with them by Skype, which is such a cool option!
